Accessibility & Compliance Notice
Last updated: 2025-10-29
1. Commitment
Morayen.org is designed for clear, low‑friction access to information by all visitors, including those using assistive technologies. We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and align with EN 301 549. Where gaps exist, we will remediate without adding surveillance, ads, or dark‑patterns.
2. Core Practices
- Structure: semantic HTML, logical headings, landmark regions, and skip‑to‑content links.
- Keyboard: full navigation and interaction without a mouse; visible focus states.
- Contrast & Color: text and UI components meet WCAG contrast ratios; meaning is never color‑only.
- Media: images include alt text; decorative images are ignored by screen readers; audio/video will provide transcripts or captions when published.
- Motion & Autoplay: no auto‑playing media, flashing content, or parallax effects that interfere with readability.
- Typography: resizable text (200%+) without loss of content or functionality; line length and spacing favor readability.
- Forms: clear labels, error messaging, and no timeouts that block completion.
- ARIA: used sparingly and only where necessary; native elements preferred.
3. Technology Compatibility
Pages are tested with modern desktop and mobile browsers and common screen readers. We avoid third‑party widgets known to break accessibility. No cookie pop‑ups or tracking overlays obstruct content.
4. Limits & Non‑Applicability
Morayen.org is a cultural and doctrinal publication, not a marketplace or user‑generated platform. Obligations aimed at large online platforms or ad‑tech networks are generally not applicable. Nonetheless, we voluntarily uphold high accessibility and privacy standards.
5. Feedback & Remediation
If you encounter a barrier, contact us via the address on the Contacts page. Include the page URL, assistive tech used, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge within 7 days and resolve material issues within 30 days, subject to technical feasibility.
6. Alternative Formats
Upon request, we will provide reasonable alternative formats (e.g., simplified HTML or transcript versions) for key documents, when technically and doctrinally appropriate.
7. Legal Alignment
This notice aligns with EU principles on accessibility and nondiscrimination and the Italian legal framework. It complements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Access and Use.
Summary: We prioritize legibility, keyboard access, and assistive‑tech compatibility, without ads, pop‑ups, or trackers. If something blocks access, tell us and we will fix it.
